General occupational safety

This type of occupational health and safety is aimed at health protection, protection against accidents at work and the safe design of the workplace. The ArbSchG regulates general occupational health and safety.

Risk assessment  Occupational health&safety:

Risk assessment plays a crucial role in occupational health and safety and is legally required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as it serves to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace. These include, for example, hazards from work equipment, substances, machines, electrical systems, psychosocial stress, noise and vibrations. Suitable measures must then be taken to minimize or eliminate the identified hazards. The risk assessment is a systematic process that examines the risks associated with the activity, the working environment, the work equipment and the working conditions.

Technical work safety

The aim here is to protect employees from hazards emanating from the workplace. These include, for example, hazardous substances, vibrations, noise, radiation or biological agents. These areas are regulated in the relevant statutory regulations, such as the Hazardous Substances Ordinance or the Workplace Ordinance, Technical Rules for Noise and Vibration Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance.
